Programme Faculty
The Programme is led by our Programme Director, Mary Curtis, a highly experienced team coach with a passion in assisting leaders and their teams to achieve meaningful behavioural changes that drive business results. Mary is supported on the programme by a team of highly experienced local and globally recognised team coaching practitioners who specialise in this area.
Mary is an executive and team coach. She has been working as a coach since 2017 and in 2023 joined Praesta Coaching as a partner. She spent over 20 years working in television production at a senior level and held a number of key roles in RTÉ- Commissioning Executive, Deputy Director of Television and Director of Digital Switchover and Strategy. Mary has a recognised track record of strategic leadership, with expertise in creativity, communications, stakeholder management and complex project management.
Coaching Approach:
Mary’s coaching is grounded in psychological principles, client and team centred, and focused on enabling personal and professional change. Her approach is underpinned by her relevant experience which facilitates a creative working style based in story and narrative. She has a passion for working with clients and teams to enable them to be more effective and has a broad range of clients across all industries. Mary also works with leaders, executives and organisations to help them communicate clearly and authentically to external and internal audiences.

Dr Declan Woods is a top team psychologist and CEO coach. Declan is founder and CEO of teamGenie which helps organisations transform through teams, and to enable teams to 'release their magic'.
Declan combines his experience as a former Plc. executive and recent non-executive Director, with deep psychological know-how and advanced coaching skills to help leaders and their teams work better together. He is the creator of the teamSalient team discovery tool, the most comprehensive team coaching tool on the market, and the author of the go-to handbook for team leaders and teams, 'The Triumphant Team'.
Alongside coaching, Declan is Professor of Leadership Practice at King's College London (KCL) and an Advisory Council Member of Harvard Business Review (HBR).
He is a Chartered and HCPC-Registered Psychologist, and the first AC-accredited Master Coach and Master Team Coach. He earned a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Cambridge, an Executive MBA from Warwick University, and an Executive MA in change consulting from INSEAD. His doctorate is in applied psychology from Leicester University. He is also a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered FCIPD), Association for Coaching (FAC) and British Psychological Society (AFBPsS).
Declan sat on the main board of the Association for Coaching (AC) as their first Global Head of Standards and Accreditation and created a new industry standard for team coaching. IHe has a reputation as an international thought leader in the coaching field and is highly sought after for his work raising standards of coaching globally. He was made a life AC Fellow in recognition of this.
Prior to becoming a coach, Declan had a 20-year career spanning Plc. P&L leadership roles, and line roles in corporate performance, leadership development and OD, and as a global consulting practice lead. He was decorated for his leadership in the New Year's Honour’s List following an Army Officer career.
Dr Sally Denham-Vaughan is qualified in Clinical, Counselling and Coaching Psychology, Gestalt Psychotherapy and Organisational practice.
From the mid 1980’s she worked in the British National Health Service as a District Psychologist, Director of Psychological Services and Consultant Clinical Lead. She established, led and managed services for people with Personality Disorders, Complex Trauma presentations and mild/moderate mental health issues, (IAPT), within a large Mental Health Trust serving over half a million people. She also held a range of university appointments lecturing in Gestalt Psychotherapy, Leadership, Coaching and Change Management. She now works internationally as a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, Executive and Team Coach, Trainer, Accredited Supervisor (Clinical and Coaching) and Organisational Consultant.
Recently her consulting work has focussed on culture change programmes with global organisations committed to ethical, ecological and sustainable development. She also works as an executive coach with CEOs, Board members and Executive Teams. She was a long serving member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the British Gestalt Journal, Academic Advisor to the Doctoral programme at Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University and is an Associate with the Taos Institute. Her doctorate was titled “Re-enchantment of Psychological Services: Organisational Strategy, Leadership and Implementation”. She is the author of many papers/chapters.
In 2012, together with Marie-Anne Chidiac, she Co-Founded Relational Change, and is Co-Lead of the ROG, (Relational Organisational Gestalt), Certificate/Diploma Program.
Dr Marie-Anne Chidiac is an experienced change and OD consultant, coach, trainer, psychotherapist and supervisor. She has over twenty years’ experience of leading change in both the public and private sectors. She is co-founder of ‘Relational Change’, an organisation that works to develop relational skills in individuals, teams, organisations and communities. Marie-Anne is an Accredited Coach and Associate of Ashridge Business School and holds a DPsych in Public Works with a focus on the synthesis of Gestalt psychotherapy and Organisational Development.
Marie-Anne is the author of Relational Organisational Gestalt: An Emergent Approach to Organisational Change.
Eileen is a master’s qualified executive & business coach who builds lasting and transformational change. Her unique approach is
underpinned by the principles of psychology and systemic coaching, this approach is critical to helping clients make the lasting change.
Her passion is working with leaders, giving them a greater understanding of themselves, the systems they operate in and enabling them to achieve the results they are looking for.
Eileen has over 25+ years business and leadership experience, commencing her career in the financial services, and then establishing a successful Property Consultant Company before selling her business in 2007 to an International Property franchise. She set up her
own coaching practice in 2012. Eileen has been a member of the tutor team in Smurfit Executive Development since 2015.
Coaching Approach
Eileen’s coaching approach is to support leaders by having healthy challenging and supporting conversations, exploring more deeply their systems, their challenges and their opportunities. She creates a strong partnership in a learning process, assisting her clients in
finding their own solutions. As a coach her distinctiveness is in combining her own practical leadership and business experience along with her coaching qualifications, her presence and style.

- Eileen is accredited at senior practitioner level with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council
Mairéad is an executive coach who thrives on working with clients to be at their best in their personal and organisational lives. She draws on her extensive business experience with AIB Group in Ireland, UK and Poland where she has developed and led her own teams, as well as advising business leaders through a range of senior HR leadership roles.
Mairéad is qualified and works as both an Executive and Team Coach. She’s a graduate of UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School where she was awarded an MSc in Coaching.

Content
Workshop 1: An Introduction to Team Coaching (3 days) focuses on the science of team effectiveness and the importance and complexities of contracting when working with teams. The competencies and role of a team coach.
Workshop 2: Team Coaching Models and Approaches (2 days) reviews key models and processes from team coaching practice and research. The role of team diagnostics as part of the team coaching process and best practices in gathering and sharing diagnostic outcomes will also be reviewed.
Workshop 3: Interventions (2 days) focuses on team dynamics, how to name and work with them. This module focuses on the role, stance and philosophy of the team coach. Working with what’s emergent, raising awareness and working with the cycle of experience in teams.
Workshop 4: Systems Thinking and Dynamics (3 days) looks at team coaching from a complex, adaptive and systems perspective. This module examines a systemic approach to the environment the team operates in and the impact of the system on the team and its members.
Workshop 5: Building your Approach (2 days), participants will be presenting their own signature approach to team coaching, their team projects and their personal marketing plan.
